Website changes 02

Made some further changes to the website again. I found the previous layout quite complicated particularly when the images and texts overlap with the links menu. I really wanted the keep the horizontal scroll format as it seems to display my work quite effectively, moving slightly away from the conventional format of a website.

I have incorporated a column layout for the links instead which sit at the top of the site instead, this gives the site clarity and efficiency while still keeping the horizontal scroll format. I've kept with the slight greyed out background, it doesn't feel as empty and the projects with prominent white backgrounds sits against this much better.

I'm finally satisfied with the design of the website and have therefore updated with more recent work. I don't want a massive list of every single project that I've worked on, instead I want the site to showcase some of the best work I've produced so have limited myself to only display a maximum of 12 projects in total. All the ones that I've taken off with sit in the Archive folder which will be added later.

Website changes

With the end of the course approaching very quickly, I need to start planning what intend to do after. One of the main things that I don't think I've been doing enough of since the start of 3rd year is networking with designers and getting my name out there. I feel that my time's just been spent working on projects that doesn't really go beyond college grounds. Although I'm not quite sure where I'd like to get up, whether freelance or full time employment, I feel that placements are very important for both my future prospect and my own professional experience, so this is something I really should start planning on.

First of all, I really need to sort my website out, the current one looked very boring and standard indexhibit layout. With that in mind, and the dissertation to finish, I just coulnd't resist but to spen a couple of hours yesterday and another with the a helping hand from Mr Ian Prentice altering a few things on the site.

So here it is:
